Look, here's the deal
Running an architecture studio means we collect some info from folks who reach out to us or visit our site. We're not into selling your data or doing anything sketchy with it – that's just not how we roll. This page breaks down what we collect, why we need it, and how we keep it safe.
When you get in touch with us about a project or just browsing around, we might collect:
- Your name and contact details (email, phone number) – basically so we can actually respond to you
- Project details you share with us during consultations
- Site location info if you're working with us on a build
- Standard web stuff like IP addresses, browser type, and which pages you check out
- Cookies that help the site work better (more on that below)
We only grab what we actually need. No random data hoarding happening here.
Pretty straightforward stuff here. We use your info to:
- Answer your questions and set up consultations
- Send you project proposals and design documentation
- Keep you updated on your project's progress
- Handle invoicing and contracts (the less fun but necessary parts)
- Improve our website based on how people use it
- Occasionally share news about our work or sustainability initiatives – but only if you're cool with that
We're an architecture studio, not a marketing machine. Your inbox won't become a mess because of us.
Yeah, we use cookies – not the chocolate chip kind, unfortunately. These little files help us:
- Remember your preferences when you visit
- Figure out which parts of our site people find useful
- Keep things running smoothly overall
Most browsers let you control cookies through settings. Just heads up – blocking them might make some features wonky.
We don't use aggressive tracking or retargeting ads that follow you around the internet. That's just creepy.
Short answer: hardly anyone.
We might share your info with:
- Engineering consultants, contractors, or other pros working on your project (kinda necessary for getting buildings built)
- Our lawyers or accountants when legally required
- Service providers who help run our website and email systems (they're bound by strict agreements)
We definitely don't sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties. That's a hard no from us.
Security's pretty important to us. We use:
- SSL encryption for data transmission (that little lock icon in your browser)
- Secure servers with regular backups
- Limited access – only team members who need specific info can see it
- Regular security updates and monitoring
No system's 100% bulletproof, but we do everything reasonably possible to keep your data safe. We take this stuff seriously.
You've got rights when it comes to your personal info:
- Access: You can ask what data we have about you
- Correction: If something's wrong, let us know and we'll fix it
- Deletion: Want us to delete your info? We can do that (unless we legally need to keep it)
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from emails anytime – there's always a link at the bottom
- Data portability: Get a copy of your data in a usable format
Just shoot us an email at studio@krythonrealms.info if you wanna exercise any of these rights.
We keep information for as long as it's actually useful or required:
- Project files and client communications – typically 7 years after project completion (Canadian law stuff)
- General inquiries – usually around 2 years, then we clear 'em out
- Website analytics – aggregate data that's anonymized after a reasonable period
- Marketing preferences – until you tell us you're not interested anymore
We're not into hoarding old data forever. When we don't need it anymore, it gets securely deleted.
Sometimes we link to other websites – supplier sites, certification bodies, design resources, that sort of thing. Once you click through to another site, this privacy policy doesn't apply anymore.
We try to link to reputable places, but we can't control their privacy practices. Worth checking out their policies if you're concerned.
We might update this privacy policy from time to time – new laws, better practices, changes to how we work, whatever. When we do, we'll update the date at the top.
If there's something major, we'll let active clients know directly. Otherwise, checking back here occasionally is a good idea.
We're based in Toronto, so we follow PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) and other applicable Canadian privacy laws. This means:
- We're transparent about what we collect and why
- We get your consent before collecting personal info
- We limit collection to what's actually necessary
- We protect your information with appropriate security measures
- We respond to your privacy requests promptly
If you've got concerns about how we handle your data, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. But honestly, we'd prefer you reach out to us first so we can sort things out directly.

If something's unclear or you wanna chat about privacy stuff, we're here. Seriously, don't hesitate to reach out.
